About
Bespoke Betty makes handmade, made-to-order shirts, hoodies, jumpers and cushions. The site is a portfolio, not a shop: a single page that shows the work and opens a conversation through a contact form. The design direction, “Thread”, is warm and tactile: Fraunces paired with Inter, a clay accent used with restraint, and dashed “stitch line” seams tying the sections together.
Notable
- Betty edits it herself. The gallery and homepage copy are content-managed
through Sveltia CMS at
/admin(GitHub login), so new pieces and text changes don’t need a developer. - No backend to run. The contact form uses Netlify Forms, so submissions are captured with a honeypot for spam and the visitor lands on a thank-you page, all with zero server code.
- Rebrandable from tokens. Colour, type and spacing live as design tokens in one stylesheet, so the whole look can shift without touching markup.
- Statically built and hosted on Netlify, live on its own domain with auto-issued TLS.
Stack
Astro static build, deployed to Netlify with Netlify Forms for contact and Sveltia CMS for client-side editing. Self-hosted Fraunces + Inter via Fontsource. Live at bespokebetty.com.au.
